Become part of the Northeast Georgia Health System's (NGHS) annual LPN Advancement Program.
If selected for this program, you will attend school for practical nursing full-time until the completion of your degree. You will also work 36 hours per pay period as a Patient Care Technician and will be paid for 72 hours per pay period to compensate for the time in classes. The nurse leader will work with you to coordinate your work schedule.
- NGHS will cover the educational costs to attend a licensed practical nursing program for LPN Advancement Program participants.
- Once you have completed the program, NGHS requires a two-year commitment to continuous employment.
- Upon successful completion of the program and the successful passing of the NCLEX PN Exam, you will be offered a position with the LPN Residency Program.
Eligibility
- Acceptance into a practical nursing program
- Current GA CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A commitment of two years of employment with NGHS as an LPN
